Clay Paky Astro best-UFO Disc 3 Light Effects

See also: vintagelightfx.lynxxx.nl This is an old video of my vintage Clay Paky Astrodisco-3 effect light running in some smoke in my office. I bought this light on ebay a few years back. After a long delay it finally got delivered by a HUGE semi because the light (its insanely large and heavy) couldnt be shipped with a regular courier. The thing weighs approx 35 kilograms and is made of steel and glass. The beams are generated from a single light bulb by projected the light through a series of lenses around it . The bulb and lenses are housed in a disc shaped fixture that can revolve around 3 axis. Each axis has its own separately switchable motor. Its been sitting in my recording studio for quite some time now and even survived the fire I had a few years back because , well.. Astrodisco's simply cannot die I also have a FAL Lunar Cosmos with 24 PAR lights but I'll need to fix that before I can finally make a video (need to replace some bulbs and clean the brushes).
